Covid-19 Policy
Chauffeur Safety ProtocolSafety first
The safety of our clients and staff is the top priority for the I London VIP Chauffeur Organisation.
SCOVIDVIRUS (COVID-19) GUIDANCE
To ensure your safety, we have developed several guidelines to protect everyone involved with our organisation. These straightforward steps are designed to keep you safe during any of our services and are easy to follow.
OVERVIEW
The primary aim of this guidance is to ensure the safety of our chauffeurs.
TAKE CHARGE
The responsibility of upholding this policy and guidance lies with the chauffeur, and it should be prioritized above all else. Every service and setting must adhere to this guidance.
RISK ASSESSMENT
Each service should start with a thorough risk assessment conducted by the chauffeur. This includes evaluating:
- Are you safe, and will you remain safe throughout the service?
- Can you ensure your client’s safety throughout the service?
- Will the service, route, or requirements pose any unnecessary risk to you or your passenger?
If any issues arise during this assessment or throughout the service, contact the office immediately.
THOROUGH CLEANING
To ensure everyone’s safety, chauffeurs must thoroughly clean the vehicle between each passenger. This includes:
- Washing hands between journeys
- Sanitizing hands, all touchpoints, and seats
- Offering sanitation facilities to clients, including for their luggage
- Removing any disposable or compromised items
- Repeating these steps as necessary
SOCIAL DISTANCING
Chauffeurs are responsible for their own safety and that of their clients. This includes maintaining a safe distance both inside and outside the vehicle, using masks where required, and facing away from each other when speaking. It is strongly recommended to minimize client touchpoints, including door handles, storage, and any other areas of contact during the service.
FACE COVERINGS
Face coverings are highly recommended and mandatory in many public places. This guidance advises wearing facemasks in enclosed spaces, including inside the vehicle, and during close contact with clients and the public. Specifically, ensure to:
- Wear a face covering in your vehicle and around other people.
- Offer passengers new face coverings and safely dispose of used ones.
- Ensure passengers wear face coverings for both their safety and yours, except where legally exempt, such as for children under 3 years or medically exempt individuals.
Ultimately, the safety of yourself and your passengers is your responsibility. You have the right to refuse service at your discretion. Inform the office promptly and always prioritize your own safety.
